The landscape of our classrooms and schools have changed dramatically over the last decade. Schools and educators are tasked with more and more responsibility to meet the social and emotional needs of their students (no small task). With the increased demands on teachers and administrators, it is crucial to incorporate self-care into our daily routines. Taking care of ourselves is not a luxury we do if we have the time; we have to make the time. Discussion will focus on what self-care is, how to prioritize a regular routine of self-care, and practical strategies for engaging in self-care to sustain satisfaction in our jobs, take care of our families, and meet the needs of our students.
