The old adage, “Throw me in the deep end, and I’ll learning to swim,” (lau) holds true for everyone who has lived to tell about it. Unfortunately, those who fail aren’t around to challenge the idea! As teachers it is our responsibility to ensure ALL students have the skills and support necessary to swim in the deep end (or engage in Tier 1 instruction). Come and explore evidence-based descriptors that help clearly define each MTSS tier for teachers and leaders, learn what resources and supports can be added or re-purposed in your school to make sure that all students are swimming (or learning) confidently, and get checklists to guide your next step in truly implementing MTSS supports for ALL learners.
